A very nice, very typical Bordeaux. There is a bouquet of plum, black cherry and slight oak with additional flavors on the palate of cedar, mint and vanilla. After breathing for an hour or so in a glass, some earthy undertones begin to come through - including a tanned leather flavor. Left some for the next day and the nose really opened up. Clearly some notes of Brett on this one.

this may have been my first bordeaux, and it was an adventure. it was very earthy, almost difficult, but intruiging...
