Winery Story

Cathy Corison, named 2011 Winemaker of the Year by the San Francisco Chronicle, began making wine in tha Napa Valley nearly four decades ago... (more...). Corison is a small, family-owned winery that specializes in Napa Valley benchland Cabernet Sauvingon that is both powerful and elegant, graces the table and enjoys a long, distinguished life. Visitors experience a behind the ropes tour of a "working winery". Visits include a vineyard tour and a view into production and winemaking activiites throughout the year.

Tasting Note

Brimming with plum and blackberry fruit with hints of cocoa, the 2002 is expansive and deep, while at the same time supple and balanced with... (more...) a long, satisfying finish.

Drinking very nicely now, with sweet ripe fruits and mellow tannins. About as good as a Napa cab gets, for me.
