Winery Story

Cathy Corison, named 2011 Winemaker of the Year by the San Francisco Chronicle, began making wine in tha Napa Valley nearly four decades ago... (more...). Corison is a small, family-owned winery that specializes in Napa Valley benchland Cabernet Sauvingon that is both powerful and elegant, graces the table and enjoys a long, distinguished life. Visitors experience a behind the ropes tour of a "working winery". Visits include a vineyard tour and a view into production and winemaking activiites throughout the year.

Tasting Note

Effusive aromas of ripe boysenberries, black plums, chocolate and nutmeg spice jump out of the glass. Juicy, mouth-filling flavors of berry ... (more...)jam, cassis and cardamom follow with velvet tannins. Uncommonly cool nights throughout the ripening season produced wines with spot-on natural acidity to balance the rare concentration from tiny berries. Classic.
