The spot's unique mesoclimate is ideally suited to Bordeaux grapes, and its soils, comprised of weathered Aeolian sediment, make the vines there work extra hard. This is the so-called "good struggle" that translates to world-class wine. Expect elegant structure, smooth mouthfeel, delicate balance and beautifully nuanced flavors in every glass of extremely limited Destiny Bay wine.

Tasting Note

The nose has an intensely sweet smell of cassis and blueberry with spicy hints of soft licorice and cinnamon. In the mouth, it is extremely ... (more...)subtle and plump with an extraordinarily fine caress of tannins. It is a very well balanced wine displaying some freshness on the back palate which bodes well for cellaring. Although tempting to drink now, this wine will cellar well over the next five to eight years or longer.
