Domaine Carneros (Taittinger) Pinot Noir - 2008
I was fortunate enough to hear about the wine from the winemaker himself. It has some fruit-forward note, but was very mellow with well-rounded tannis. It wasn't overbearing, but would have paired well with a variety of dishes from steak and lamb to a nice red sauce pasta dish. The tobacco flavors were also a lovely element.
