Foggy Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

Winery Story

A San Francisco based brand with plans to open a fully-functioning urban winery, tasting room and event facility in the city within a year o... (more...)r two.

Tasting Note

Winemaker Daryl Groom describes this wine as classic Bordeaux in style, with complex aromas of black cherry and berry fruit enhanced by toba... (more...)cco, chocolate and cedar. This is not a jammy, modern style Cabernet, rather it harkens back to a more elegant style of winemaking with beautifully balanced fruit, acid and tannin structure, making it an excellent complement to fine cuisine. The wine is a blend of the five classic Bordeaux varietals, namely 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Merlot and the fruit was grown on the hillside vineayrds of Atlas Peak Mountain in the southeast corner of Napa Valley. The wine was aged in 42% new oak barrels comprising 70% French, 15% American and 15% Hungarian. 196 cases produced.
