* Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
Served at the same time with the Guigal above at Jim and Deb Cianciolo’s summer dinner party; this wine has a much sweeter and deeper nose than the Guigal, aromas of honey, sweet herbs, beeswax, white pepper, ripe and rich; same in the mouth; lots of ripe and rich fruit flavors, exotic herbs, caramel and hints of honeyed fruit; at the same time spicy with good acidity; fresh lemons; smooth and silky at the finish; this wine has more depth and better poise than the Guigal.
