Hermitage Hermitage “La Chapelle” Jaboulet - 1997
* Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
A really complex and enticing nose, wonderfully perfumed with an initial aroma of roses, then more cacao, sweet herbs, fresh-mown hay, meat, and coal tar; sweet fruit in the front of the mouth; complex and deep; powerful citrus core; lots of herbs and sour cherries; crabapples; quite sophisticated and elegant; long finish, still quite young and immature but with a wonderful dry lemon flavor and texture. (18/20)
