Hermitage Hermitage “Le Pavillon” Chapoutier - 1993
* Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
The nose on this wine opens with a shot of perfumed aromas that are sweet and ripe, characterized by rich chocolate aromas, but also with plenty of complexity in the form of green herbs, floral scents, and hints of ripe black fruits; sweet and ripe in the mouth as these wines can be; great concentration of citrus fruit with dry tannins and earthy textures; a tapestry of sauvage elements in the big, expressive finish.
