Winery Story

This is a family winery in the true sense of the word. Juan Muñoz Lopez and his family immigrated to Argentina in 1952 from his hometown of... (more...) Andalucía, Spain, and began cultivating vines in the rich lands of Mendoza. He was immediately struck by the large number of partridges roaming these lands; hence the name “Las Perdices”. Muñoz’s vineyards are located in the foothills of the Andes Mountains at 3,379 feet above sea level in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, and the first DOC zone in Argentina.

Tasting Note

Intense ruby color with purple edges, complex berry aromas, hints of pepper, spices, violets and dried plums, with tobacco, chocolate and va... (more...)nilla notes. Good attack in the mouth, smooth, round, well balanced structure with ripe tannins. Fruit notes combine with the oak to create a longlasting, evolving explosion of flavors.

Floral nose. Big bodied, rich smooth tannins. Dark plum flavors, ripe blackberry and sweet tobacco. Don Juan would approve!
