Winery Story

Founder Luis Alegre manages vineyard operations at this 25-acre estate in Spain's rapidly-modernizing Rioja region. Most of the property's w... (more...)ines are estate-produced, and all are raised using the modern temperature-controlled fermentation technique to ensure careful balance of flavor and structure. The vines are 25 years old on average, and the winery uses both French and American oak.

Tasting Note

This elegant Tempranillo offers lovely developing aromas and flavors of plum, fig, cola, anise, fennel, sage, smoke, leather, musk and brown... (more...) sugar. Its medium body makes it a versatile wine for the table, where it will work beautifully with a range of cuisines, including pork and chicken, roast meats and pasta dishes. Thirty minutes in a decanter prior to enjoying the wine will ensure you coax out all of its extra goodies.
