Located in the Russian River Valley, the tiny winery has no plans to expand, since Helen, and her husband, John, prefer their present size. Marcassin, which translates as "young wild boar" in French, plants its ten acres with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The simple philosophy that dictates Turley's winemaking reigns at Marcassin as well: great vineyards, meticulously farmed, limited yield, long hang time and natural yeast.
