Xavier Flouret Marly Chardonnay

Winery Story

Since 1860, the Hamelin family has been growing vines in Chablis on a Domaine that is now 36-hectare. The family is both truthful to the her... (more...)itage and traditions of their ancestors while at the same time using modern techniques to bring out the intrinsic qualities of the Chablis terroir.

Tasting Note

This Chablis is bright yellow with a slight hint of green reflection. On the nose, aromas of white hawthorn blossoms predominate. Smooth, re... (more...)freshing fruit combines with amble minerality on the palate, giving way to a long, pleasant finish.

We've had a few of the Xavier Flouret wines and liked them, so decided to try their Chablis. My wife and I prefer the French style chardonnays that are usually a little more crisp and acidic.

We both thought this wine had a nice balance. It has a soft feel when you first take a sip, but the finish had a crisp-ness to it that we both like.
