Mas Donis Barrica Capcanes Grenache - 2007
I really enjoy the earthy tones of Spanish wines. This one, of course, had it in both aroma and flavor, and I picked up a lot of cherries and some forest floor in the aroma and a lot of red fruit (particularly cherries), some leather and wood in on the palate. The finish was smooth and the length was mediocre at best, but by itself the wine was excellent. I definitely will buy this wine again. Highly recommended with pork tenderloin, roasted chicken (try it with thyme), and even salmon as an alternative to Pinot Noir. $13
