Passaggio Wines Chardonnay - 2007
June 13, 2009
"Passaggio New Generation Chardonnay 2007, $23. A lovely unoaked Chardonnay with bright lemon-lime fruit and a rich underlying minerality. There is rounded fruit in the center, leading to a fairly long finish. This works well as an aperitif and also with most seafood and chicken dishes." *** (Highly Regarded)
As reviewed by Larry Walker - West Coast Consultant for Hugh Johnson's Pocket Wine Book and author of "Classic Wines of the Napa Valley".

This brilliant pale straw color is sealed with a Zork; a revolutionary wine closure with the convenience of screw cap and the pop of a cork. It is light, crisp and clean with scents of green apple, tropical fruit, fresh lemon and mineral notes. The palate is rich with peaches, apricots and soft melon with a hint of lemon zest. A firm acidity with balanced weight and long finish.
