Winery Story

Podere Fortuna is situated 25 kilometers north of Florence in the heart of Tuscany, among the beautiful hills of the Mugello valley. The are... (more...)a has been the home of great artists, such as Giotto and Beato Angelico, and of the Medici family that has been part of Florence history since 1300. Wine production in Podere Fortuna has been documented since 1465 when it was a part of the "Castello di Cafaggiolo" property, owned by Lorenzo il Magnifico. Since 2001, new grapevine varieties have been planted, such as the Pinot Noir that seems to be particularly suitable for the weather and soil conditions.
