Its commitment to excelle... (more...)nce begins in the vineyard, as only exceptional grapes can produce great wines. Its focus is on detailed vineyard management coupled with expert winemaking. The location of their vineyard, 40 miles north of Melbourne in Central Victoria, was selected for its ideal soil and climatic conditions. its winemaking philosophy is one of minimal intervention, enabling the process to follow its natural course. John Ellis, Pretty Sally's winemaker, insists that the flavors be in the fruit in the first place. Nothing is added to affect flavors other than traditional fermentation and oak aging techniques.

Tasting Note

A very clean, intense, bright Sauvignon Blanc. Shows strong aromas of anise-accented pear, green apple and peach with an underlying flinty m... (more...)ineral edge. The palate is tangy and flavorful, showing pear, melon and peach fruit. The finish is crisp and fresh.
