Tasted this again last night, this time decanted. 30 min of air made this wine significantly smoother and more complex. Rich dark fruit flavors emerged along with cocoa, oak and the chalkiness remained.

Very nice wine. Lighter and with more acidity than some Napa Valley, velvet, fruit smashers. Rich red fruit. Definitely some chalky, minerality on the finish which gives it complexity as well.
Love to think about what a spectacular estate these grapes are grown on as I sip.
