Talus Merlot - 2005
January 21, 2012
- appearance: medium intensity with an above-average color, purple.
- nose: light intensity with aromas of cloves, dirty socks, blackberries, black pepper, and cough medicine.
- palate: off-dry, with low acid and tannins, and flavors of plum, vanilla, gooseberry, leather, shoes. the length is short.
- overall: a basic wine that is quite balanced with the acid and tannins. the heat is containted quite well. the problem is just that it's simple and basic, it's not that interesting. for the price, it's acceptable.
- i give this an 83.
