Winery Story
Crossroads Winery is located in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand's North Island. Founded in 1990, it is a boutique winery that has rapidly established a reputation for producing elegant wines of high quality and consistency. The grapes produced on the vineyard are hand-harvested and carefully selected, and the wines reflect the terroir characteristics of the region. Located on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand, Hawke's Bay is traditionally a leading wine-producing area with a record of making high-quality for over one hundred years. The region's five rivers and protective mountain range to the west provide a consistent water supply and climate. Stony, free-draining soils and sunny climate result in rich fruit for full-bodied, Bordeaux-style wines.
Tasting Note
This wine is a great value and has bright, youthful, fruit flavors. Big, full and juicy cherry and grapey flavors with a touch of clove and pepper.
