Tierra Secreta translates as ‘Secret Earth’ in Spanish; this brand is about discovering Earth’s unexpected pleasures. Within Argentina... (more...), Mendoza is the premium appellation for fine wine in general, and for Malbec in particular. Within Mendoza, the cooler-climate Uco Valley presents an ideal growing area for elegant, nuanced Malbecs. Wine Spectator describes the Uco as “a region that is rapidly emerging as a serious rival to the warmer spots of central Mendoza” and a place “where forgotten old-vine vineyards can still be found.”

Tasting Note

Dark, concentrated color in the glass. Offers an alluring mix of ripe black fruit and toasty oak aromas. In the mouth, displays a juicy pala... (more...)te of blackberry and plum flavors, giving way to a medium-long finish with fine tannins and lively acidity. An elegant, well-structured Malbec.

This is a great wine to enjoy while watching any guilty pleasure (aka Real Housewives of....) It's tasty, has a nice body and isn't to overpowering on its own. This would be very good with pork or any kind of Mexican dish.

Inky purple, opaque, spice/nutmeg on the nose. Surprisingly understated mouthfeel. Tasty.
