Very perfumed and aromatic, sweet and raisiny nose, plenty of herbs and minerals though, and there is a depth and complexity that goes beyond the initial typical perfume and exotic fruit aromas; intense and sweet in the glass, but with restrained qualities that provide a sense of elegance and refinement; lots of minerals in this wine, and a touch of what can only be described as austerity that plays off nicely against the fruit and opulence; long finish, smooth and viscous without being cloying; nicely defined acidity at the end.
