Winery Story
Former Detroit Red Wing great Igor Larionov's accomplishments in his 27-year career include being the oldest player in NHL history to score a triple-overtime goal in the Stanley Cup Finals on the way to winning his third Stanley Cup Championship. This inspired the title Triple Overtime Wine Co. for the partnership between Larionov and Mike Davis, former owner of Metro Wine Distributors in Dearborn, Michigan.
Tasting Note
This is 100% Sauvignon Blanc. It is a rich and ripe California-style wine. The aromas are subtle with fig, pear and melon leading the way. A full-bodied wine of mineral, grapefruit, and holiday spice fills the mouth. The finish is driven by a yeasty spice taste, combined with bright citrus acid and a kiss of nectarine.
