Home to the legendary Diamond Mountain Ranch and Diamond Creek estate, A small but legendary appellation, Diamond Mountain consists of a small number of vineyards scattered throughout. The AVA lies in the Mayacamas Range in the far northeast of Napa Valley. Porous volcanic soil and abundant sunlight make this region ideal for vines, yields are low, quality is high, and the Cabernet Sauvignon here is known the world over. Cabernet Franc and Zinfandel are also famous, and Schramberg sparkling wine calls Diamond Mountain home as well.
