Yountville
Overview
Yountville is located on the western side of Napa, between the Mayacama mountains on the west and the Vaca mountains on the east. Its location midway up the valley makes its temperatures moderate by valley standards, as it still experiences some cool breezes off the San Pablo Bay. The regions to the north are generally warmer and those to the south are generally cooler. However, temperatures here can drop quite a bit and while Yountville is not as famous as Rutherford, Oakville, or Stags Leap, unusually cool conditions in its vineyards sometimes produce Cabernet Sauvignon beyond comparison.
