Usually found in the Loire Valley, specifically in the regions of Anjou-Saumur and Touraine, Grolleau is a red grape that is often made into Rosé d’Anjou with the addition of Gamay. It offers high acidity but little flavor so it is better for blending. It is increasingly being replaced by Cabernet Franc.
