A native of Tuscany, Andrea Paoletti studied agronomy at the University of Florence in the late 70s. Majoring in oenology and viticulture le... (more...)d to his employment with the Antinori family in 1981. As the Antinori holdings increased, so too did Paoletti's involvement and experience with different varieties and sites. He was one of the first in Italy to implement high-density plantings, at the Castello della Sala estate in Orvieto, Umbria. In 1996, he became a freelance viticulturalist with the added skill of oenology. His personal vineyard in Bagno al Ripoli, just outside of Chianti Classico, is the realization of a lifelong dream. His ability to closely monitor all aspects of his own vineyard has led to the production of a wine worthy of his passion for excellence.
