Since 1799, Weingut Jakob Jung has been in the hands of one family. Ludwig Jung, who currently owns it, started working in the family busine... (more...)ss at the age of 18 after the early death of his father. In 1974, he passed his master winegrower examination and took over the business from his mother. Today Ludwig Jung is responsible for the viticulture and his son Alexander Johannes for vinification. The vineyards are cultivated in a very natural way — greenery between the lines of vines, no use of insecticides, almost no chemical protection the plants, and organic fertilization through the seeding of plants collecting nitrogen to keep the nutrients circulating — all guarantee an extremely high quality of grape in the vineyard.
