Good flavors of blackberries, currants and cedar in this wine, with a rich, chocolately edge. There are problems with the structure, though, that lead to a sharp, prickly mouthfeel. Drink now. 1 Note

One of the more interesting Cabs to emerge lately from the Foothills. Shows real class, with ripe flavors of blackberries and black currants, and fine, smooth, complex tannins. Could develop for 3–5 years. 1 Note

There’s lots to like about this wine, but not enough to justify this price. It’s an easy wine, with immediately appealing cherry and cola flavors; soft and silky. 1 Note

A perfectly quaffable but not otherwise remarkable blend from old El Dorado-area vines. Outlaw is the work of Tiger LIly Winery, which back in the 1850s was one of the better known wineries in California. Interesting to note? The alcohol on this wine is listed at 12.5%, something worth trying perhaps just for that. 1 Note
