At less than one-third the price of Escarpment’s single-vineyard wines, this is a great Pinot Noir value. Ripe cherries and plums make a full impression on the palate, and while the flavors could use a touch more complexity, the wine offers a big mouthful of authentic Pinot Noir. 1 Note
A very good effort, with attractive nectarine and melon fruit underscored by grapefruit notes that brighten and enliven the long, mouthcoating finish. 1 Note
This wine starts off pungently sweaty on the nose, but shows enough ripe stone fruit on the palate to balance out its intense leafiness. It's medium in body, with a moderately long finish. Would be nice with mussels steams in herbed white wine. 1 Note
Fresh and vibrant, with hints of herbs and flowers alongside figs and citrus fruits. This is light in body but not light on flavor, although it does finish a bit short. 1 Note
Now this is NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Classic gooseberry and grapefruit aromas give way to zesty citrus fruit and a long grapefruity finish tinged with slightly bitter pith notes. 1 Note
Taut and lean, with lemon, lime and green apple flavors that come across as tart and ungenerous. Still, it’s crisp and refreshing and would cut through a plate of oily sardines. 1 Note
