Pretty good wine for 10 bucks. It’s dry and crisp, in the Monterey style, with good citrus fruit and mineral flavors that are accented by sweet oak. 1 Note

I dislike sweetness in Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio and other whites that should be dry, but there’s something about Riesling that makes it work. This one is perceptibly sweet, yet it’s luscious. Acidity helps balance, and the flower blossom, green apple, peach, mineral and petrol flavors love that honeyed edge. Just lovely, and a great buy. 1 Note

This soft, simple wine tastes more like Gewürztraminer than Chardonnay, with spice and wildflower notes to the apricots. 1 Note

Hard to get lushness and complexity into a Chard at this price, but this wine tries hard. It’s a cool climate wine, to judge from the crisp, upfront acidity. Flavors veer toward apples and citrus fruits, and if there’s any oak, it doesn’t show. Finishes clean and lean. 1 Note

All kinds of tropical fruits in the pleasant aroma, plus buttery, creamy notes and smoky, spicy oak. Tastes fat and opulent, with intense tropical fruit flavors and nervy acidity. This is very nice wine and easily the equal of others costing twice as much. 1 Note
