Chenin from Australia, isn’t something we see often in these parts. This version is round and soft in the mouth, with medium body and loads of peach flavors and aromas. The fruit is a little sweet, but it’s an easy, enjoyable choice. 1 Note

Grassy on the nose, with a citrus base. Has a tiny bit of sweetness on the front palate, like a dot of confectioner’s sugar, which is only a minor distraction. Stone fruit and a dusty-talc feel segues to a fresh, pretty finish that tastes like clean rainwater and peach purée. Sound too fairytale and frou-frou to be true? Taste it. 1 Note

Light green pea and yellow fruit aromas; palate has peach and pear flavors, with just a hint of vanilla. This vintage, this Chard was barrel fermented for 3-4 weeks in what winemaker Chris Dix calls an "almost unwooded style." Future vintages, he says, will get more oak. 1 Note

For once, “extra dry” on a label means just that: This isn’t a sweet, or particularly fruit-forward, pink wine. It has the crispness of a dry white, but the versatility and flavor of a bigger red—just what you want to drink cold and outdoors, to wash down a bucket of fried chicken. Sturdy plum and plum skin flavors hold the fort down, but the real draw is its smooth feel. 1 Note

Brilliant fruit powers this delightful wine, at such a great price. Aromas of kiwi and lime explode from the glass with herbal, smoky overtones. In the mouth, it’s a lusty wine, filled with lime and grapefruit flavors and intense acidity. Scouringly clean and dry. 1 Note
