Fairly priced for what’s in the bottle, this is a bit edgier than your average Aussie Cabernet, with crisp acids outlining cassis fruit and tinged with tobacco. Fine-grained tannins impart a slightly dusty texture, while the finish features a hint of vanilla and juicy fruit. 1 Note

Smells great, mixing lemon meringue pie with pears, vanilla and tropical fruit. So what happened? The midpalate is fat, the flavors are simpler and the finish a touch metallic. 1 Note

Apple, nut and pear aromas. All its flavor pieces are in place (yellow stone fruit, some vanilla); a good, basic commercial wine. Imported by Partner’s Wine Marketing Group. 1 Note

Chenin from Australia, isn’t something we see often in these parts. This version is round and soft in the mouth, with medium body and loads of peach flavors and aromas. The fruit is a little sweet, but it’s an easy, enjoyable choice. 1 Note

Grassy on the nose, with a citrus base. Has a tiny bit of sweetness on the front palate, like a dot of confectioner’s sugar, which is only a minor distraction. Stone fruit and a dusty-talc feel segues to a fresh, pretty finish that tastes like clean rainwater and peach purée. Sound too fairytale and frou-frou to be true? Taste it. 1 Note
