A lovely wine with ripe honeyed fruit balanced by crisp acidity. It was fermented and aged in stainless steel, so what you get here is pure spicy Pinot Blanc fruit with a silky mouthfeel and a long, delicious finish. Best Buy. 1 Note

Oregon rarely gets credit for how good its Gewürztraminers can be. This is a perfect example: a classic, varietal nose shows citrus blossom, baby powder and lychee; it’s both fragrant and slightly exotic. All barrel fermented; about half went through malolactic. This is a very light, green appley wine, with firm acids and clean, lightly cinnamon-spiced fruit. 1 Note

The winery grows 17 different varietals, many in minute quantities. This is a blend of 8–12 different varietals, including such oddballs as Refosco and Freisa, along with Zin, Carignan, Tempranillo, some Cabs—in other words, it’s a kitchen sink wine. Spicy and peppery, with firm acids under a forward mélange of red fruit flavors. 1 Note

This young Pinot shows scents of beetroot and sassafras and forward fruit (from 50% whole-berry fermentation). Ripe cherry flavors and a bit of earth tell the story. In terms of balance, this is an excellent wine for the price. Best Buy. —P.G. 1 Note

A dark straw color, with a nose of pears, citrus skin and yeast. Very dry and firm, with streaks of steel, petrol, mineral and lime. This is a taut wine, with less assertive fruit than many Oregon Pinot Gris. Some troubling bitterness lingers on the finish. 1 Note

Partial barrel fermentation in three different types of barrel give some nice leesy, creamy flavors. The modest fruit flavors run to melon and light citrus. It’s elegant and nicely balanced, with a fresh, easy finish. 1 Note

The fruit shows pears, some high tones, some bitter rind. The style is fruit forward, with flavors of pears and citrus, leading to a light, toasty finish. 1 Note

Crisp and clean, stainless steel-fermented, yet showing a lot of tropical fruit in the nose, and a touch (half a percent) of residual sugar. Banana, mango and citrus flavors are there, along with plenty of acidity. Interesting, but not particularly varietal. 1 Note

Almost searingly tart, with a mix of orange and lemon juice flavors. Some rose water and lychee notes come in, but this is the rare Gewürztraminer that could be a good fit for fresh oysters. Good length and persistent, clean fruit flavors. 1 Note
