Smaller producer of Cahors, this is their entry level. The wine is blended with a little Merlot and Tannat, which takes just a bit of the edge off the Malbec. The wine is well balanced with just enough of the earthiness you look for in French country wines without crossing over to "barnyard". Definitely a better Malbec match for dining than most of the Argentinian things I have tried in the last few years.
