A fantastic blend of Shiraz & Grenache, this opulent wine is all purity. I don't know if its due to it being biodynamic organic, but the cleanliness of this wine reminds me of glaciers. It's also very well balanced, fruit driven with earthy notes, and well integrated tannins. It's a joy to drink and goes very well with New Zealand lamb chops [they are delicate and tender], goat cheeses and a myriad of other things. 1 Note

I tasted this zin on a recent trip to Paso Robles in Clavo's tasting room, and it was one of my favorites. The Legacy is a classic Paso zin--loaded with bold fruit including cherry, blackbery and plum. But don't get me wrong, it's also nicely balanced. This is no fruit bomb. I loved the full mouth feel, yet soft tannins. Would go nicely with some grilled red meat, especially a burger.

This wine was a Christmas present from my brother, and I wanted to open it with friends who I knew would appreciate it. We had it over this past weekend at Chez Spencer in San Francisco, and it paired nicely with my venison as well as their filet dish.

I got barnyard and mushroom on the nose. It was elegant and well balanced, and still has plenty of fruit. Soft tannins with hints of tobacco, blackberry and plum with a long and pleasant finish.
