Daddy LIKE. This is a wonderfully complex wine with ripe fruit flavors of plum and dark cherry interwoven with layers of mocha, spice box, and sweet tobacco. Nice long finish. While full in flavor this wine is not overwhelmingly big in body. Soft tannins--well balanced--excellent. 4 Notes

Opaque color, with intense black fruit front , and steep peppery close.The spice was intense, almost angry, like an old man returning soup at a deli.

Wonderful nose, very characteristic of the vintage and the commune; sweet and very ripe aromas at the beginning, assuming more complex characteristics with time and introducing aromas of tobacco leaf, earth, smoke, black pepper, and ultimately perfumed and aromatic floral scented fruit; initial taste was ripe and sweet, loaded with black fruits, mature and mellow now; there is a second layer of flavor that emerges stronger with more time, and it is a layer of earthen tannins and drier textures with a slightly woody character; in balance though a fine wine, with both the sweeter fruit and the drier underpinning to the wine showing well at the finish. 1 Note

Very Rich wine. After breathing, tobacco and bramble notes are present. This pairs especially well with heavy foods including red meat.
