Aroma: Dried berry and cherry notes, a good dash of tangy seasoning from oak, and a very delicate herbal note.

Palate: Medium-weight and dry, lean at first as the natural acid attacks the palate, then subsides into more red cherry flavors with just a hint of vanilla-laced oak.

I tasted this wine in Paris last night with some friends. Very surprising with delicate fruit aromas and subtle hints of vanilla oak. It was great ! Shame we only had one bottle...

One of the few remaining bottles from my very first trip to Napa Valley, I distinctly recall enjoying this greatly at their winery. Upon first pouring, I notice how dark this wine is, there is no light coming through, even around the rim of the glass. I get a whiff and it's a very balanced aroma, just what you would expect from a quality merlot - lots of dark fruits coming to the forefront. My first taste reminds meof plums and leather (?) Interesting. It coats the entire mouth with a big but pleasant grape taste. Good texture, big bold taste, nice aftertaste. I loved this wine at the vineyard and I love it now.
