Quite fruity, with jammy blackberry and blueberry flavors at the fore. A zingy tartness on th finish keeps it from being cloying, however. Spicy, with toasty oak at the end. 1 Note

Just what you want a great mountain Zin to be. Marvelously rich and ripe in berry, cherry, chocolate, coffee and spicy flavors, a wine that just blows you away with fruit, but balanced and even elegant. Fully dry despite the size. Perfect with grilled meat or poultry. 1 Note

The complete opposite of the Beatty Ranch. Soft, almost velvety tannins let the crisply etched, ripe berry fruit shine through. Charming and immediately likable, but probably not an ager. 1 Note

Cherry-scented, clean and fruity. Good concentration mid-palate, with no discernable new oak, just a balanced, firm attack and a strong, chewy finish. Only 123 cases made. 1 Note
