This is a lovely, ripe wine, its plum character very evident. It has a cool character as well, the acidity pushing through. Aged in wood (not new), the wine has a polished feel on the finish. 1 Note

Full and fat, made from Cabernet Franc, this is a somewhat heavy wine, redeemed by the ripe strawberries and touch of caramel. More acidity would be welcome. 1 Note

This wine is named after the tufa, limestone rock (pierre in French) which is so typical of the Chinon region. This wine suffers from some vegetal characters, due to the cool year. There is structure, but the flavors are dominated by smoky wood and lean tannins. 1 Note
