This Chard is a good wine, but it's not the best De Bortoli can do. Aromas are of cream and petrol, and the yellow-fruit flavors are light and straightforward. Lean in the mouth; fine for big groups or casual outings. 1 Note

You’ve got to hand it to the folks at this estate: they make nice wines at low prices. This Sicilian Chardonnay is bright and creamy with aromas of orange blossom, almond, golden honey and mature apricot. The wine feels crisp and pristine in the mouth. Very nice. 1 Note

Not the richest wine in history, but fruity enough and dry, this basic Chardonnay has a tease of citrus fruit and vanilla cream. It’s perfectly okay for that next big party where no one’s over-critical. 1 Note

Sweet it is, but given the price it is good wine with mass appeal. Apple, pear and mellow citrus aromas and flavors feature zero funk or mealy character, and the finish offers a dab of butterscotch. Shows mild residual sugar but many consumers will like that. 1 Note

The blend includes 2% Viognier, presumably for bouquet. A measure of the classy winemaking that exemplifies this value brand.
