A fascinating wine from this new Stellenbosch estate. It has ripeness, almost sweetness, certainly weight, which comes through as a creamy character, and just a touch of botrytis to give a honey edge to the wine. 1 Note

Fresh Vouvray, but from that ill-defined, in-between, medium-dry category. It offers currant flavors, some texture, but never really shows great flavor or character. 1 Note

Characteristic almond paste and yellow fruit aromas lead to a fresh wine flavored with apples and custard. There is a tight edge of citrus, but this is a wonderfully fresh, accessible wine that relishes its open, nutty flavors. 1 Note

The lighter of Richard Leroy’s white Anjou wines, this is fresh, crisp, with a fine touch of minerality under the apricot and pear fruits. There is a good layer of apple skin structure, while the intense acidity gives the finish a great lift. 1 Note

Fresh, concentrated and with a fine Chenin Blanc structure and firm style, this shows plenty of almonds, pears and red apples. The aftertaste has a great lift of acidity. 1 Note

Juicy white currant aromas, very floral. The taste is soft, with a lightly oily texture alongside, flavors of white peaches and almonds, held together with a green fruit skin texture. 1 Note

La Passion is a fine name for this wine, made by Eddy Oosterlinck. It is a result of his passion that this is such an impressive wine: liquorous, botrytised, yes, but with a beautiful line of acidity, fresh honey and fine structure. Could age for 10 years, or drink now. 1 Note

Shows earth and almond flavors. Underneath this, though, there is some interesting complexity with acidity and apple flavors. 1 Note
