Rubbery and not all that convincing on the nose. The palate is sizable but also acidic, which leads to a tart, almost sour flavor profile that is dominated by tangy cherry skins and citrus zest. Imported by Newton Land Development, Inc. 1 Note

A bit mulchy but also displaying power and quality for an under-$10 wine. The nose is initially murky but evolves toward sweet, simple berry fruit. Meanwhile, the palate is ripe, bouncy, lively and solid, with cherry, plum and chocolaty flavors. Slightly big and rubbery but convincing as a whole. 1 Note

Robust aromas of ripe berry fruit and bacon give this a full and lusty starting point, while the textured body is rich, with sturdy tannins. Flavors of blackberry and black cherry are sweet, and the wine has good character and bounce. A wine you want to drink on a regular basis. 1 Note

Sweet and grapy on first look, but shows more complexity once you get into it. Rich plum and other black fruits carry the bulky, sizable palate. The finish offers oak in the form of chocolate and mocha. Devoid of serious nuance and depth, but charming in an easy, fruit-forward way. 1 Note

Funky and leathery, and just not all that clean or promising on the nose. In the mouth, it’s razor sharp and sour, with excess acidity, little body and piercing pie cherry and underripe raspberry flavors. The definition of a “narrow” wine. 1 Note
