Duck Pond produces inexpensive wines that are generally estate grown. This is a simple, tart Pinot Gris, with a sugary nose, and it falls a bit flat in the mouth. Though the wine is made quite dry, there is an impression of sweetness in the finish. 1 Note

This is a distinctive style of Pinot Gris, harder and more herbaceous than either the soft, tropical California bottlings or the fleshy, pear-flavored wines of Oregon. This is closer to a semillon, with tart citrus fruit and citrus rind flavors, a spicy middle, and some firm tannins. 1 Note

If this were game, it would be considered well hung, but since it's wine, it's just barely holding on. The aromas are an interesting blend of pear and quince with honey and tangerine, but it lacks midpalate weight, ending on a chalky, citrusy note. 1 Note

This Moldovan white offers value and a great bang for the buck, with its fresh, fragrant nose and fun, assertive flavors. Buoyed by minerality, the citrus and spice on the palate offer clean quenching on a hot day. Not terribly elegant, but it doesn’t need to be. 1 Note

Firm and full of fresh pear and apple and white peach fruit flavors. A clever blend that includes Muscat, Viognier and Riesling. Crisp and full-bodied, with a very clean and refreshing mouthfeel that extends into a bright, satisfying finish. 1 Note

Flat on the nose, with neutral, slightly floral aromas. The palate is zesty and tart, with midland flavors of lemon, sour apple and lime. Chalky but o.k. on the finish. A one-dimensional white with hardly any lasting potential. 1 Note

Very zippy Pinot Gris. Notes of grilled lime dominated the bouqet. A bit zippy for my taste - but clearly a well-made, well-balanced wine.
