Despite a lightness that verges on insubstantialness, this clean, fresh wine is flowery and citrusy, picking up green apple flavors on the finish. A good patio wine. 1 Note

Lately, this rather unique Riesling seems to have found its calling. It’s big and chewy, and very un-German. The bouquet deals melon, honey and floral notes, which are capped by dry, minerally stone-fruit flavors that spread onto the long finish. A pleasant surprise. 1 Note

Classic lime, slate and green apple aromas and flavors signal this budget-priced offering’s origin. It’s light and delicate, just as it should be; the only knock on this wine is its soft, short finish. Still, it’s a fine example of how good some of the lower-priced wines can be in 2003. 1 Note

This is a straightforward, off-dry style of Riesling, with ripe fruit and a nice balance of sugar and acids. There’s a little bit of a resin scent in the nose, and a hint of soapiness in the mouth. The finish is soft and full. 1 Note
