Fresh, clean aromas of Asian pear and citrus lead the way, followed up by similar flavors on the palate. It’s crisp and citrusy from start to long, tart finish. Not terribly complex at this young age, it should add layers of toast and spice with age. 1 Note

Tart and sharp, with a pleasing tang and snap. The complex, clean and crisp flavors layer fig, citrus rind and clove with high notes of candied orange and citrus blossom. Great varietal character, cool-climate acidity; this is very sophisticated winemaking with spot-on flavors. 1 Note

Well balanced, smooth, sweet and blessed with just the right touch of acidity, this honeyed wine also has a fine blend of orange, peach, melon, spice and citrus flavors. Fresh at the end. 1 Note

This is pure Sémillon, barrel fermented in new American oak, from a new, Spokane-based winery. Sémillon makes some of the best white wines in Washington, though consumer interest has been tepid. This shows the barrel influence with a rich coconut flavor, wrapped into sleek fruit flavors of white peach, green apple and a hint of cucumber. 1 Note

Although some Australian Semillons are built to age, this one is immediately accessible, offering stony, minerally scents and flavors that hint of petrol, wet stones and green apples. It's medium-bodied, with a bright finish that manages to be crisp without being sharp or angular. Drink it over the next 2–3 years. 1 Note

Full-bodied and loaded with ripe, round fruits, this forward and juicy Sémillon shows some new oak flavors, but retains its varietal character and most importantly, its freshness. A mix of melon, pineapple and white peach, with some skin phenolics evident in the finish. 1 Note
