This wine has definite dinner potential—clams or scallops, maybe, are in its future. Citrus fruit is dressed up with mineral and a fresh green vegetable note on the palate; hay and fresh herb play on the nose. Fades a little bit the longer it sits in the glass, but you can eat quickly, can’t you? 1 Note

Sémillon, sadly, is getting pulled out and replanted all over Washington, despite the fact that it makes a fine stable mate to the state’s better-known Sauvignon Blancs, This includes 22% Sauv Blanc in the blend, a delivers flavors of fig and melon along with fresh grain and a bit of spice. It’s balanced and crisp; a good summer sip. 1 Note

Very dry and tart, an unusually minerally wine that brings to mind sun-warmed slate tiles. Other flavors veer toward honeysuckle and acidic citrus fruits, especially lemons. Has a nice, creamy texture from barrel fermentation and lees aging. This is a distinctive wine and a nice expression of a Sierra vineyard. 1 Note

There’s bright and racy fruit on this lovely little wine, with touches of gooseberry and apple on the nose, followed by hints of sage and melon. 1 Note

This dry and racy wine begins with a bang: grapefruit, passion fruit, pear and fig scents burst from the glass. Turns tart on the palate, with lemon accents over fig, citrus and hay flavors. The finish is tangy with a slightly bitter citrus-pith note. 1 Note

Almost seems wooded, with strong aromas of toast, caramel and cinnamon that fight for prominence with tart lime fruit. The palate is sweet upfront, tart and almost sharp on the finish. Give it a few months to settle down and integrate before trying it this winter with poultry. 1 Note

This is a fun, easily quaffed wine—a pretty overt version of Semillon, though, showing vibrant flavors and aromas of yellow peach, citrus and banana. Softish in the mouth, but approachable, with a dry apple-skin flavor on the finish. Imported by Southcorp Wines. 1 Note

The aromas and flavors are altogether pleasant ones, but don't stray far from honey, honeysuckle, honeycomb—all the honey you could want—dotted with a light, plastic-rubber note. It's a simple, straightforward approach that yields a good, but pretty predictable, sticky wine. 1 Note
