A nosing reveals charcoal, currants and black cherry. As for taste, some bitter chocolate mixes nicely with plum and vanilla, while the finish is positively fresh and lean. Cedar, leather, white pepper and grilled meat smell fantastic, but only the leather lasts to the palate. The currant-flavored fruit is marked by a slight tartness, toast and eucalyptus that carries to the very end. Among all of this is a strange, spicy, green bell pepper note not usually associated with the variety. 1 Note

Deep aromas of baked black fruit and berry syrup come together on the hefty, very ripe nose. The palate is persistent and offers depth, but the fruit seems a tad overdone and murky.
