The color was a deep, dark purple. Aromas of wild flowers and chocolate dominated the nose. Flavors of wild blueberry, licorice and chocolate dominated the palate and the tannins were chewy and smooth. For a young table wine, I was surprised at the complexity. We didn’t pair it with anything, but it was very good by itself. As a chocoholic, I was drawn into frequent sips just to taste its chocolaty flavors again and again. Looking for something tasty for under $10? Great bargain!

Color: Deep ruby, opaque to the rim; bright magenta edge.
Aroma: Spiced red fruit with a dusting of white pepper, and a toasty, cocoa-powder oakiness.
Palate: Full and rich with dense red and black fruit flavors of currant, black cherry, and a generous preserve-like mouthfeel. Medium-high tannins and a long finish promise 5-8 years of ideal sipping.
