A bit overblown, with punch bowl aromas and flabby, semisweet grapefruit and tangerine flavors. Would be better if more steely and acidic; as is, it’s tasty and game, but maybe too full and round. 1 Note

A sweet, almost punch-bowl nose greets you, followed by mellow apple and tropical fruit flavors. Medium-bodied and generally balanced, with shy but layered flavors and dryness that offers a bit of complexity. 1 Note

Smoothly textured with a hint of viscosity, this shows typical apple and hay flavors. Consistent from nose to close, there’s nothing wrong here, but it lacks the liveliness a vibrant young Verdejo can show. Drink now. —M.M. 1 Note

Slightly heavy and seemingly ripe based on the apple cider and citrus blossom aromas. The palate confirms its health by showing baked apple and sweet citrus flavors. A proper wine that’s big and peachy but not overdone. 1 Note

Sauvignon Blanc fans take note: this no-oak Verdejo tastes a lot like S.B., with ultrafresh tropical and citrus fruit characteristics that include aromas and flavors of pineapple, grapefruit, passion fruit and nectarine. Lime, citrus and other pungent aromas get it off to a good start, while the palate is wet and fresh, with clean, familiar grapefruit, lime and nectarine flavors. Lighter and less concentrated than Naia, but still a very good Verdejo for the price. 1 Note

An aggressive example of Verdejo, one that wants to be grapefruit juice and comes very close to tasting like it. Along with the pulsating pink grapefruit aromas and flavors there’s some passion fruit and pith. But you’ll be hard pressed to go beyond these dominating characteristics. Serious and true-to-form Verdejo, with dry lime and green fruits on the nose and lots of green apple, apricot and citrus in the mouth. This wine packs a lot of flavor and power into a fairly regular, unadulterated package. And that’s basically why we like it. Drink now. 1 Note

Prickly and generic, with flat, cushy citrus flavors that don't hold court for long. Finishes mealy and pithy, with the essence of lemon juice. 1 Note

Chunky, heavy and unfocused aromas lead to a heavy palate that features semibitter, wayward flavors of pineapple and acrid white fruits. An acceptable wine but it doesn’t really show the attributes of Verdejo with any panache. 1 Note
